Guy Fredrick Glass is a playwright who is also a psychiatrist. His play, The Last Castrato, was produced at the Connelly Theater in New York in 2010 after readings at Luna Stage (New Jersey), Judson Church (New York) and Hudson Guild Theatre (New York). Another full-length play, Doctor Anonymous, has had readings at Great Plains Theater Conference (Nebraska), ActorsNet of Bucks County (Pennsylvania), Ganymede Arts (Washington, D.C.) and Woodstock Fringe (New York). Two of Guy’s plays, Healing and The Therapeutic Hour, have been staged in New Jersey, and were published in Smith and Kraus’s Best Ten-Minute Plays of 2007 series. In addition, Healing has been produced in New York and England, and The Therapeutic Hour has had readings in Tokyo and New York. Dr. Glass is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and is on the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He was for many years Newsletter Editor for the Association of Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists, and has spoken at national and international conference on topics related to gay and lesbian mental health.
